Product Overview
Composition: Ceftriaxone (250mg)
MONOCEF 250MG INJECTION contains Ceftriaxone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, bacteremia, septicaemia, meningitis, abdominal infections and infections caused by pseudomonas species. MONOCEF 250MG INJECTION is also used to prevent infections, before and after surgery.
Tell your doctor before receiving MONOCEF 250MG INJECTION if you have or had a history of kidney or liver diseases, fungal diseases, gastrointestinal disease or diarrhoea. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor before receiving MONOCEF 250MG INJECTION. Inform your doctor if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to cephalosporins, penicillin or any antibiotics before receiving the medicine.

How It works
Monocef 250mg Injection is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
Safety Advice for Monocef-250Mg Inj
Allergy
Do not receive MONOCEF 250MG INJECTION if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Ceftriaxone or to any other ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy
MONOCEF 250MG INJECTION should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Consult your doctor before receiving this medicine.
Breastfeeding
Monocef 250mg Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
