Product Overview
Composition: Prednisolone
CORTILONE 20MG Tablet is a corticosteroid which is used to relieve inflammation in conditions like arthritis and allergic disorders. Use with caution in the patients with diabetes and other kidney diseases. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly as it may cause confusion and headache.

Side Effect
Common side effects:
- Aggression or anger
- Blurred vision
- Decreased urine output
- Dizziness

How to use
20-40mg daily (acute conditions up to 80mg daily) reducing gradually to maintenance level when symptoms have subsided. Maintenance dosage is usually 5-20mg daily reached in about two weeks by reduction of the daily dosage by 5mg or 2.5mg, two or three times a week.
How It works
CORTILONE inhibits leukocyte infiltration at the site of inflammation, suppression of humoral immune responses, and reduction in edema or scar tissue.

Allergy
Avoid if you have a known allergy to prednisolone or any other glucocorticoids.

This medicine is recommended for pregnant women only if clearly needed and if no other safer alternative is available.
