Product Overview
Composition: Telmisartan (80mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)
TELVAS H 80MG TABLET is a combination of Hydrochlorothiazide and Telmisartan which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive agents. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) when treatment with single agents is not effective.
By lowering blood pressure, TELVAS H 80MG TABLET can also reduce the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction) or stroke. During treatment with TELVAS H 80MG TABLET your doctor will constantly monitor your kidney functions, blood pressure, electrolyte levels and blood sugar levels to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects. Before taking TELVAS H 80MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diabetes, low blood pressure or are severely dehydrated due to excessive vomiting or diarrhea.

How to use

How It works
Telvas H 80/12.5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide which lowers the blood pressure effectively. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin, thereby relaxing the blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Telvas H 80/12.5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alcohol
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking TELVAS H 80MG TABLET as it might make you feel dizzier and drowsier.
Pregnancy
Telvas H 80/12.5 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
