Uses

  • -Bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye)
  • -Corneal ulcers
  • -Bacterial keratitis (inflammation of the cornea)
  • -Other bacterial infections of the eye

Side Effect

While uncommon, some people may experience mild stinging or discomfort upon using the drops.

How to use

  1. -Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your eye or the eye drop bottle.

  2. -Tilt your head back or lie down. Pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

  3. -Hold the dropper above your eye and squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the pocket formed by the lower eyelid. Be careful not to touch the dropper to your eye or any other surface.

  4. -Close your eyes gently, without blinking, for a moment to allow the medication to spread across the eye.

  5. -If you need to use the drops in both eyes, repeat the process for the other eye.

  6. -After using the drops, close the bottle tightly.

  7. -Wash your hands again to ensure you don't transfer any medication to other surfaces.

How It works

When used in the form of eye drops, ofloxacin gets absorbed into the eye's tissues. It targets bacteria that are causing infections in the eye, such as conjunctivitis or corneal ulcers. By interfering with the bacteria's DNA processes, ofloxacin helps eliminate the infection and reduce inflammation.
