OCTRIDE INJECTION

Octride 100 Injection 1ml belongs to the class of drugs known as octapeptides. Octolide 100 Injection 1ml is mainly used for the treatment of acromegaly. Octride 100 Injection 1ml is also used to relieve purging episodes and watery diarrhea caused by cancerous tumors (carcinoid tumors, vasoactive intestinal peptide tumors). Acromegaly is a disease caused by elevated levels of growth hormone. It is a disease that makes the limbs elongate because the secretion of growth hormone is unnecessary. Each 1ml of Octride 100 Injection contains 'octreotide', a substance normally found in the human body that reduces the effects of certain hormones such as growth hormone. It also reduces bleeding from the esophagus by narrowing (constricting) the veins. Additionally, 1ml of Octolide 100 Injection reduces many substances in the body, including glucagon and insulin (which are involved in regulating blood sugar levels) and chemicals that affect digestion.
