Product Overview
Composition: Ceftriaxone (1000mg) + Sulbactam (500mg)
GRAMOCEF S 1.5GM INJECTION is a combination of Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in the treatment of infections of the brain (meningitis), lungs, middle ear, abdomen and abdominal wall (peritonitis), urinary tract and kidneys, bones and joints, skin or soft tissues, blood, and heart.
GRAMOCEF S 1.5GM INJECTION can also be used to treat specific sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhoea and syphilis), patients with low white blood cell counts (neutropenia) who have fever due to bacterial infection, Lyme disease (caused by tick bites) and to prevent infections during surgery

How It works
Gramocef-S Injection is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.

Alcohol
Consuming alcohol with Gramocef-S Injection does not cause any harmful side effects.
Pregnancy
Gramocef-S Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breastfeeding
Gramocef-S Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
