Product Overview

FUNGITOP GEL contains Fluconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal agents. It is used to treat dermal fungal infections (dermatomycosis) caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and moulds such as tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis (ring worm), tinea cruris (fungal sweat rash), and tinea versicolor.

Uses

Treats dermal fungal infections such as:

  • Tinea pedis
  • Tines corporis
  • Tinea cruris
  • Tinea versicolor
  • Candidiasis

Side Effect

  • Skin rash
  • Irritation
  • Dryness or cracking of the surrounding area
  • Itchiness and burning sensation at the site of application

How to use

Always apply the GEL as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area and apply a thin layer of GEL to the affected area. Wash your hands before and after application. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of GEL for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

How It works

FUNGITOP 0.5% GEL helps in treat fungal infection where Fluconazole inhibits the synthesis of certain compounds that are essential components of the fungal cell membrane. Moreover, it also impairs various important biological processes inside the fungal cell body required for its survival, thereby killing the fungal cell bodies.

What if you forget to take?

If you forget a dose of FUNGITOP 0.5% GEL, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose of FUNGITOP 0.5% GEL and apply the next scheduled dose at the prescribed time. Do not double the dose in order to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
