Product Overview

Composition:  Torsemide (100mg)

 

DYTOR 100MG TABLET contains Torsemide which belongs to the group of medicines called Diuretics. It is indicated for the treatment of oedema associated with congestive heart failure, renal or hepatic disease and essential hypertension.  Dytor 100 Tablet helps your body get rid of extra water and salt through urine. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines as per the dose advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day. It is best to avoid taking this medicine within 4 hours of your bedtime to prevent having to get up at night to urinate.

 

 

Uses

It is used to treat:

  • Oedema associated with congestive heart failure, kidney, or liver disease
  • Essential hypertension (high blood pressure)

Common side effects:

  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Dehydration
  • Constipation
  • Decreased blood pressure
  • Upset stomach

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dytor 100 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How It works

DYTOR 100MG TABLET inhibits reabsorption of sodium and chloride in kidney by increasing urinary excretion of sodium, chloride, and water.  Thus, removing excessive fluid from the body. 

What if you forget to take?

If you miss a dose of Dytor 100 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Safety Advice for Dytor-100mg

Alcohol

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking DYTOR 100MG TABLET because it might make you feel dizzy or drowsy

Pregnancy

Safety and effectiveness of DYTOR 100MG TABLET in pregnant women or women planning to get pregnant has not been established yet. Hence it should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Consult your doctor before taking it.

Breastfeeding

Dytor 100 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
