Product Overview
Composition: Deflazacort (6mg)
DEZACOR 6MG TABLET contains Deflazacort which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-Inflammatory and Immunomodulator Drugs. It is used to treat inflammation in asthma (inflamed airways), arthritis (pain and inflammation in the joints) and allergies. DEZACOR 6MG TABLET is also used in treatment of problems with your skin, kidney, heart, digestive system, eyes or blood and where your body has growths (tumours). It also used to prevent rejection after organ transplant operations.
Before taking DEZACOR 6MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have epilepsy, problems in liver, kidney or heart, diabetes, high blood pressure, mental health problems, osteoporosis, glaucoma, oesophagitis, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis or peptic ulcer and pheochromocytoma.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dezacor 6 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Dezacor 6 Tablet with salad and vegetable diet.
How It works
Dezacor 6 Tablet is a corticosteroid. It increases the level of glucocorticoid in the body and works by decreasing the formation of substances that cause inflammation and suppresses immunity to stop self damage to the body by the immune system (auto-immune reactions occurring in organ transplants or cancer).
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Dezacor 6 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Dezacor 6 Tablet.
Pregnancy
Dezacor 6 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding
Dezacor 6 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
