Product Overview
Composition: Ciprofloxacin (0.3% w/v)
CIPLOX EYE/EAR DROPS contains ciprofloxacin, which belongs to the group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It is used to treat bacterial infection of the eye or the ear in conditions such as corneal ulcers, chronic Suppurative otitis media, external otitis, malignant otitis externa, etc. Symptoms of an eye or ear infection may include red, watery eyes and bloodshot eyes, severe eye pain, pus or discharge and in severe cases can also lead to vision loss and blindness.
CIPLOX EYE/EAR DROPS is also used for the topical treatment of inflammatory ear infections such as Chronic Suppurative otitis media, external otitis, malignant otitis externa and perioperatively in chronic otitis media. This medicine is indicated for use in adults and children above 1 year.

How to use
This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.
How It works
Ciplox Eye/Ear Drops is an antibiotic. It treats bacterial eye/ear infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. It does so stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Ciplox Eye/Ear Drops, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Pregnancy
CIPLOX EYE/EAR DROPS should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the developing baby. Consult your doctor before using CIPLOX EYE/EAR DROPS.
Breastfeeding
CIPLOX EYE/EAR DROPS should be used with caution in breastfeeding mothers due to the lack of safety data in topical use. Consult your doctor before using CIPLOX EYE/EAR DROPS.
Allergy
Do not use CIPLOX EYE/EAR DROPS if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin or other quinolone antibiotics or any other ingredients of this medicine.
