Product Overview

Composition: Losartan (50mg) + Amlodipine (5mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)

Amlozaar-H Tablet is a combination of Amlodipine, Losartan and Hydrochlorthiazide. This medicine is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It relaxes your blood vessels, heart muscles and decreases your blood pressure. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from your body through urine. Amlozaar-H Tablet may cause some side effects like cough, stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea, etc.

This medicine may also cause dizziness, drowsiness or confusion. Do not perform any work that requires mental focus if you feel dizzy or drowsy. Most of these side effects do not need medical attention and resolve with time. However, if any of these symptoms persist for a long time or worsen, consult your doctor at the earliest.

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amlozaar-H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How It works

Amlozaar-H Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Losartan, Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

 

What if you forget to take?

If you miss a dose of Amlozaar-H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Safety Advice for AMLOZAAR H

Alcohol

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Amlozaar-H Tablet.

Pregnancy

Amlozaar-H Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Amlozaar-H Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
